A parents sacrifice.

Reblogging again because this is so real.
reblogging again during this graduation season, just shows a pursuit of education isn’t just for the student
These “coffee kiss” sculptures are part of an ongoing series by Chinese artist Johnson Tsang. Started in 2002, the series is named after a local drink called Yuanyang, which is made using a mixture of three parts coffee and seven parts Hong Kong-style milk tea to perfectly represent both Eastern and Western cultures.
Do not wait until all the conditions are perfect for you to begin. Beginning makes the conditions perfect.

i only kiss boys who have names of
famous writers, my therapist tells me
that this isn’t healthy and i say that
when you have rocks swimming in
your wrists and purple stained
vision from his tongue it doesn’t
really matter, in astronomy, we are
learning about the way our universe
was created, i guess the poets
were right; we are made of stars
and pieces of the moon, but when
i look at you all i can really see is
sun, sun, sun
wet batteries and electric lipstick (via irynka)
I just want somebody who will never stop choosing me.
You should be angry. You must not be bitter. Bitterness is like cancer. It eats upon the host. It doesn’t do anything to the object of its displeasure. So use that anger. You write it. You paint it. You dance it. You march it. You vote it. You do everything about it. You talk it. Never stop talking it.

Protesters from across St Louis turned up and turned out for the first St Louis County Council Meeting since Mike Brown’s Death. (Part I)
The St Louis County Council wasn’t as bad as Ferguson’s Council, but still very few answers and virtually no accountability from the folks who unleashed unholy hell on the residents of Ferguson, following Brown’s murder. #staywoke #farfromover
I tell my students, ‘When you get these jobs that you have been so brilliantly trained for, just remember that your real job is that if you are free, you need to free somebody else. If you have some power, then your job is to empower somebody else. This is not just a grab-bag candy game.’
